Wise words are inspiring, they fill the heart with renewed hope and often provide a brief ray of light during ‘dark times’. The right words delivered and received at the right time can lift the readers’ spirits and help point them in the direction of pure joy by providing a deeper understanding of their circumstances.
From every inspiring book, from every struggle, from every earthy experience there is a grain of wisdom gained through habitual refection and silent contemplation.
Each teaching we receive can only be truely found and comprehended by one who is ready to learn. A piece of literature you hold dear to your heart; when handed anxiously to your brother or sister, to your parents or loved ones, is likely to serve little comparative utility.
”No man can learn what he has not preparation for learning, however near to his eyes is the object. … Our eyes are holden that we cannot see things that stare us in the face, until the hour arrives when the mind is ripened; then we behold them, and the time when we saw them not is like a dream” – Ralph Waldo Emerson.
Hence why this organisation of material will never be advertised or heavily optimised for search engines. The student will seek and find the teachings they require when they are ready for its reception.
It’s often the most simple of proverbs which resonate with us without friction or resistance; if there are no lines to read between then there can be little room for misinterpretation.
The intention here is to pass on simple truths and not attempt to bestow any sort of wisdom through the limited scope of language.
Every attempt will be made to ensure that the works herein contained are free from the personality and personal opinion. As Sonnie.org builds in content, the identity of the creator will be removed.
These writings contain no favouritism toward any particular religion, school of thought or philosophy.
Spirituality, in the sense that these writings use the word, refers to no dogmatic creed or nonsensical superstition. These works are intended to demonstrate only logical principles which can be tried and tested by each individual if they so choose to make the effort required of them.
Where reference to saints, sages and saviours are made; they are done so independently of orthodoxy as to demonstrate the underlying truth behind the teachings and precepts.
“He who has right comprehension interprets the divine precepts by the light of his own spotless deeds.” – James Allen
Conversation is a faculty of the intellect and its reward is of a material nature, belonging to the mind.
Meditation is a faculty of the spirit, the reward is the humble insight of wisdom which contains within it perfect insight and comprehension. It can not be transferred through communication (written or spoken); it can not be ‘transferred’ at all. Wisdom and perfect insight much like all the things of a material nature, must be justly earned.
The motive of this website is to help bring joy and light to the reader and provide a compass for those who may feel they’ve lost direction during ‘dark times’ or difficult moments in life. It is to share both personal writings/recordings, book summaries, extracts, meditations and information from the archives of wonderfully inspiring literature in an easy to understand format.
Sonnie.org is a not-for-profit, self-funded project; it is a life’s work slowly being published and constantly updated for the good of humanity.
At this moment in time, donations are appreciated but not necessary for its continuance.
Light and Love,
Sonnie
